Background

Louise is a Professor in the School of Law and has held a number of key posts including Senior Tutor, School Director of Teaching and Learning and Deputy Head of School (2019). She had responsibility for the Legal Skills module on the LLB degree programme and led the School of Law’s ‘Streetlaw’ programme for many years, which involved students widening and disseminating legal knowledge in the local community. Her teaching interests include constitutional and administrative law, history of English law and legal skills. Louise is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

Louise is an alumna of the University of Reading, completing both her LLB and postgraduate degrees at Reading. She joined the School of Law in September 2007 after working for the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIA) and took on the role of School Director for Teaching & Learning (SDTL) in 2018.

Louise started her six-year term as a Teaching and Learning Dean in August 2021.
