Professorial Annual Review

Similar to 2025, Professors are only asked to submit an Annual Review when seeking a review of their zone and/or a salary adjustment. Professors who are not seeking any adjustment are not required to submit. Colleagues wishing to discuss their performance should do so with their relevant line manager or Head of School.

For 2026, the review period returns to the usual 12-month period up to 31 December 2025. All completed forms will be reviewed by the Head of School and considered by the Professorial Advisory Group.

Professorial colleagues in Zone 1 are normally expected to make steady incremental progress through the zone and are therefore encouraged to submit every year. Colleagues in other Professorial zones should consider whether they have a suitable case for salary adjustment and discuss with their Head of School as appropriate. Colleagues within the first 12 months of their appointment to a Professorial role are not normally eligible for a salary adjustment and would not be expected to make a submission.

The form must be submitted to your Head of School no later than 29th January 2026.

Please ensure that your publications record is up to date on CentAUR before commencing the form, as any subsequent changes will not be updated. Please note, it can take up to ten working days for an item to be made live in CentAUR after they are deposited.

Timescales

The timetable for the process is as follows:

Formal outcomes will be notified by the Director of Human Resources.

Requests for feedback should be addressed to your Head of School in the first instance.
