Our social justice research focuses on educational equity, inclusion and social justice. We explore how class, ethnicity, gender and neurodiversity impact learning. We work with national and international organisations to support and understand the experiences of underrepresented and underserved students.
Our research spans early years to adult learning, and also focuses on leadership within education.
Our Talk-Rich Teaching project brings oracy education to classrooms to improve teaching for multilingual learners (also known as children with English as an additional language). The project provides free and accessible advice for teachers.
This project supports teachers and parents to work together to explore ways to talk to children about LGBTQ+ identities. We provide ideas and materials to help all children, not just those who identify as LGBTQ+, to see LGBTQ+ identities as normal.
