We work with a diverse range of partners and collaborators, including Thames Valley Police’s Violence Reduction Unit, Alana House, Reading Youth Offending Team, Autistica, Calibre Audio, Reading Borough Council, and Brighter Futures for Children. These partnerships support projects focused on gender-based violence prevention, at-risk youth, neurodivergence, literacy, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

In the education sector, we collaborate with research partners on language learning and teacher development. Our collaborators include the Association for Language Learning, Hampshire Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service, Goethe Institute, and the National Consortium for Languages Education.

We also work with international organisations such as UNESCO, the OECD and the World Bank on education leadership and policy, and with the Education Endowment Fund to strengthen research trial practices.

Supporting our primary school language learning study

The Association for Language Learning is a key non-academic partner in gathering in-depth data on the development of young learners’ language knowledge in French, German and Spanish.

Co-designing a teaching toolkit

Hampshire’s Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS) co-designed our online professional learning resource for teachers called The Talk-Rich Teaching Toolkit.
