Through a comparative lens, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of British pedagogy in secondary education and be inspired to be reflective and creative in their own teaching practice. This course features case studies based on reflective discussions.
A standard two-week course consists of five components in
- Education systems: the British education system will be introduced, followed by a comparative study against local education systems.
- General learning theories: a series will be introduced to rationalise contemporary classroom teaching and learning.
- Trends in teaching methods: topics will focus on task- and project-based learning, and effective direct teaching.
- Education in the age of GenAI: technology-enhanced learning will be highlighted, as will the development of students' thinking and social intelligence.
